Paleo lamb sliders are a nice change of pace from the classic beef burger. This is a summer time favorite on the grill or anytime if you choose pan seared. You can serve these burgers either wrapped in lettuce, on top of tomato and pickle or over a big Greek salad, you decide. This tasty and simple recipe is brought to you by Primal Palate and will serve four. This recipe is not only Paleo but also gluten-free. Enjoy this great taste!
- 1 lb Ground Lamb
- 1/2 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/4 Yellow Onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 sprigs fresh Oregano, leaves only, minced
- 1 Lemon zest, the zest (outer skin) of one whole lemon
Step 1: mix lamb and ingredients
Place the ground lamb into a medium size mixing bowl, and season with salt and pepper. Add the diced onion, minced garlic and oregano, and lemon zest to the bowl. Mix well until the meat is evenly combined with the seasonings.
Step 2: preheating
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. You can grill these on a BBQ or pan sear, depending on time of year or which method you prefer.
Step 3: form burger patties
Using your hands; take small amounts of meat from the bowl and form the meat into 6-8 small patties.
Step 4: grilling
Grill the burgers about 4 minutes per side over medium high heat, or until cooked as desired.
Step 5: serve your way
Serve the lamb slider patties over a slice of tomato and pickle, or on a lettuce leaf or over a big Greek salad. The options are endless and yours for making the final touches of this recipe unique. Enjoy!
